Green Commercial Cleaning introduces chemical free product - and offers two month trial to customers

Wednesday, May 20th, 2015

Green Commercial Cleaning is proving its commitment to protecting the environment - and customers - after investing in a new technology which is allowing it to ditch environmentally harmful chemicals in favour an innovative, 100 per cent eco-friendly solution.

It is a long-term aim of the business to gradually phase out the use of harsh chemical cleaning products entirely.

The introduction of the new product follows investment into new, proven and safe technology which transforms tap water into a highly effective commercial cleaner by infusing it with ozone.

The Lotus PRO technology creates ozone (O3) by utilising an electrical charge and then infuses it into water, creating stabilized aqueous ozone. It is 50 per cent more powerful than chlorine and is significantly faster acting.

Green Commercial Cleaning was introduced to theAqueous Ozone cleaner at the recent Cleaning Show in London, an event which attracted thousands of contract cleaners from across the UK and showcased the product as ‘changing the way the world cleans’.

Managing director James Needler says he had little hesitation in taking the product on trial, and has been delighted with the initial results.

“One of the biggest concerns for both ourselves at Green Commercial Cleaning, and of course our customers, is the health and safety aspect of our work,” he said.

“Using chemicals for commercial cleaning has long been accepted as the best way to tackle tough dirt and grime. It was the only thing which really worked.

“However, the large amount of chemicals required, especially at big premises and those businesses with a high number of employees, brings many difficulties, dangers and challenges.

“Obviously, we have always been very keen to use a product which is environmentally friendly, but it also has to be an effective cleaner to keep our clients happy, and a better solution than what is currently widely used. That is the ultimate test of any new product.

“We have now been using the product at a number of sites for close to a month now though, we have seen the benefits first hand and have been amazed by the quality of clean, and the impact it has made.”

Whilst keen to see clients take up the offer of chemical free cleaning, Mr Needler admits it may take some time for customers to commit to the switch.

“We don’t expect people to say yes overnight, so we are offering a two month trial. Then it is up to the customer whether they want to stay with the standard chemical products, or make a switch to chemical free,” he said.

“Obviously, there is the cost to consider on our part in providing this service. We are weighing up the long term savings with the initial outlay, not that you can put a price on being green.

“Initially though, the sums look good, both at our end and to the customer. We feel this is the right way to go, both for us as a cleaning business, and for clients who want to do the right thing.

“We are finding it to be ideal. To have a cleaning product which is 100 per cent chemical free, and can be used on any surface from tables to toilets, is a real game changer in our industry.

“Obviously, we were attracted by the headline figures around its performance, including being 3,000 times faster and much stronger than bleach and chlorine-based cleaners, 100 per cent chemical free and suitable to use on any surface.

“We thought it was one of those things where the claims were too good to be true, but our clients love it, they love the results and it makes them feel like they are doing something good for the environment.

“It’s a great time saver as well because you don’t have to buff surfaces afterwards, so you can get extras done, which makes the clients happy.”
