Green Commercial Cleaning and P&O Ferries celebrate extended partnership

Green Commercial Cleaning has won an extended contract with P&O Ferries to ensure all is ship-shape and sparking for thousands of ferry passengers travelling to and from European destinations.

Green Commercial Cleaning provides cleaning services for the company’s Hull offices and its passenger terminal buildings seven days a week, with daily cleans carried out in the offices, while the terminal buildings are cleaned every time passengers embark or disembark each day.

Andy Faichney, customer operations support manager at P&O North Sea Ferries Limited, said it was important to work with a company which they know will deliver the highest of standards at all times, and it was that which led to them extending a long-standing partnership with the Hull firm.

“We have been using Green Commercial Cleaning for several years. They are a local company providing a very good service and we have a great long standing relationship,” he said.

“We carry nearly one million passengers a year in and out of Hull, so you’re going to get problems from time to time with burst pipes, toilets and other things, and Green Commercial Cleaning can be relied upon at short notice.

“The contract manager will get someone out, or come themselves, and, if we run out of anything, they always have a good stock and come down.”

Andy said he was delighted with the contract, which went out to tender and was once again awarded to Green Commercial Cleaning.

He said: “We have bi-monthly meetings with them and it’s very rare there are any problems. We are really pleased with the way the relationship works.”

A Green Commercial Cleaning team work at the P&O buildings, which includes a manager and a supervisor, and the partnership has been ongoing since 2002.
