BLOG: Green Commercial Cleaning heads to London for major show

Monday, March 9th, 2015

Directors and staff from Hull-based Green Commercial Cleaning are heading to the UK’s major event specifically designed for the cleaning and support services sector.

The Cleaning Show 2015 took place in Birmingham in previous years but has now moved to its new home at the Excel in London, running from Tuesday to Thursday this week (March 10-12, 2015).

The show brings together exhibitors, speakers and cleaning businesses under one roof, and is held every two years.

Mr Needler said: “For us, it’s good to meet other companies in the industry and it’s excellent for networking.

“There are other facilities shows but for cleaning and related services, this is the place to be.

“It brings together exhibitors, speakers and businesses from across the industry under one roof and we’re looking forward to attending.”

The show is primarily aimed at anyone responsible for cleaning, maintenance and hygiene, ranging from healthcare to hotel kitchens.

Mr Needler added: “It’s always good to stay ahead of the trends and know what’s new in the industry.

“One of our big focuses is new developments in eco-friendly and environmentally-friendly products.

“At Green Commercial Cleaning, we pride ourselves on constantly delivering the highest standard of cleaning - at a competitive price - through our reliable and friendly staff.

“Attending a show like this can only add to this ethos.”

Kyran Bracken, former England scrum half, is also set to speak at the event and aims to inspire managers within the cleaning and hygiene sector to incorporate leadership skills and a strong team ethic in order to deliver results ahead of industry competitors.

With more than 100 exhibitors, the show is also a chance to source the latest products and services on the market, view demonstrations, try out equipment and attend workshops.

Doug Cooke, chairman of the British Cleaning Council, said the show’s move to the Excel is a positive one.

He said: “London is recognised as one of the world’s most important financial, cultural and business centres, and is therefore a fitting host for the next Cleaning Show – elevating the profile of our industry at a critical time.

“The major contract cleaning businesses operating in London, together with key government departments and public sector organisations, have already confirmed London is their preferred venue.

“For that reason, I am confident our visitor profile will reflect the show’s proximity to the UK’s business hub.

“Visitors have been very vocal for a number of years, calling for the move to London.

“The result will, I am sure, be the best UK-based Cleaning Show to date.”
